Due to reported patches of ice on some roads in Gillespie County, especially on the eastern side, and below-freezing temperatures in the early morning, the Fredericksburg Independent School District will operate on a delayed schedule tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22nd. This means buses will run 2 hours later than normal, and all schools will begin instruction 2 hours behind schedule. Due to the 2-hour delay, breakfast will be limited.
FISD Families,
Due to the potential for hazardous road conditions and the number of staff and students who live outside the city limits, Fredericksburg Independent School District will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, January 21st. There will be no student instruction and all offices will be closed.
Fredericksburg ISD students participating in afternoon activities will receive communication from sponsors, coaches, and advisors regarding today's plans.
We understand that this closure may cause some inconvenience, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in prioritizing the safety of our community.
Due to precipitation and potential below-freezing temperatures in the early morning, the Fredericksburg Independent School District will operate on a delayed schedule tomorrow, Friday, January 10th. This means buses will run 2 hours later than normal, and all schools will begin instruction 2 hours behind schedule. Due to the 2-hour delay, breakfast will be limited.
If you need to drop off your child early, we will have minimal staff available to supervise students. Early drop-offs must be made at the front office of the campus.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but the delay allows our bus drivers and school community time to assess road conditions before traveling. Safety is our top priority, and we want everyone to feel confident traveling to school. Please continue to monitor local media for updates regarding the winter weather forecast, and use caution if you are traveling during this time.
